Entering an Amount on One Side of the Hud-1 Settlement Statement (Unlinking Borrower and Seller Columns - Unlocking the Seller Column)
Sometimes you may need to enter a disbursement or receipt for one party on the front page of the Hud-1 settlement statement, where there is no corresponding charge or credit to the other party. (For example, if the seller needs to pay back taxes on the property.) If the seller's column is locked, unlock it by unchecking the unlink checkbox that is located between the buyer and seller sides of the particular line. For further details, see Entering an Amount on One Side of the Hud-1 Settlement Statement
